History
In 1999 a group of dedicated community members made a commitment to work together for the healthy development of children in their early childhood. Partners including parents, school district employees and trustees, government representatives, faith communities, early childhood educators, social service agencies, Aboriginal, Metis and cultural communities, politicians, urban planners, public health representatives, medical professionals, concerned citizens and friends developed the CATCH Charter and agreed to work together towards the collective vision outlined in the Charter.
Since then, the coalition has grown, and learned new ways of identifying and addressing the needs of families and children from 0-6 years of age. By working together we have collectively made progress in working together to make the Central Okanagan the best place possible of young children to develop.
